Springer-Peterson Launches Groundbreaking Roofing Apprenticeship Program, Pathways, in the Southeast

Six-Month, Paid Program Offers Industry-Specific Training and Career Development

Lakeland, FL – February 25, 2025 – Springer-Peterson, a leading commercial roofing contractor, ranked among the Top 50 roofing contractors in the nation, is excited to announce the launch of its innovative roofing apprenticeship program, Pathways. This one-of-a-kind program provides comprehensive, hands-on training for entry-level candidates interested in skilled trades.

The paid Pathways apprenticeship spans six months and offers participants 40 hours per week of real-world experience, professional development, and mentorship in the roofing industry. While the program is open to all qualified applicants, Springer-Peterson will specifically recruit graduating seniors from local high schools and construction academy programs.

Key Program Features:

• Paid Apprenticeship: Participants will earn competitive wages while gaining hands-on experience and classroom instruction. A bonus program will also be available. A key benefit is that apprentices will incur no student debt while still earning an income.
• Duration: The six-month program is full-time (40 hours per week) and includes training on actual roofing projects.
• Comprehensive Training: Apprentices will receive on-the-job training and classroom instruction in key areas such as roof installation, safety protocols, customer service, and more.
• Mentorship: Each apprentice will be paired with a seasoned industry mentor to guide their professional growth. They will also work closely with department buddies for hands-on training on job sites.
• Career Pathway: Successful completion of the program offers the opportunity for full-time employment as a skilled roofer with Springer-Peterson, as well as the potential to fast-track into key roles within the organization based on performance.

The program is open to individuals with a strong work ethic and an interest in roofing or skilled trades. No prior roofing experience is required; instead, the focus is on providing hands-on training, classroom education, and real-world skills to ensure participant success.
